Number One – this is the description of your position as Supply Operations Manager when communicating with our External Suppliers. The Supply Operations Manager is the spearhead of Sandoz discussing our demands and ensuring proper and timely supply from our External Manufacturing Network to serve patients all over the world.

Your responsibilities:

Within the Supplier Relationship Team drive detailed end-to-end planning, scheduling and order management to assure agreed delivery performance level to CPO’s. Develop and manage the end-to-end planning process with External Suppliers and to CPOs for all supply related matters, such as demand/supply planning and analysis and order management to guarantee high customer service level, including stock management:

• Support SRM and SCM to discuss NOSSCE and business KPI's per External Supplier, provide performance feedback, root cause analysis and implement improvements
• Establish and oversee an optimal demand & supply plan, with the goal to balance customer service level, production capabilities at External Supplier, inventory level and operational cost according to budget
• Responsible for timely order fulfillment including organization and management of physical shipment of goods in collaboration with freight forwarders including transport invoice verification within scope of SRT
• Maintain adequate planning & master data parameters (e.g. MOQ, Lead Times, order frequency) setting for active assortment in close collaboration with local master data mgt.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste / write off, and/or optimize KPI's / CSL and reconcile with system inventory
• Design and implement supply chain models that support business strategies, which can adapt to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies
• Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions of production flow and optimal supply


What you’ll bring to the role:
• Supply Performance KPIs – focus on “On Time in Full” (OTIF) performance
• Planning parameter alignment & planning data (demand/supply plan) quality
• Toll inventory accuracy
• Trade Service Procedures are in place and up-to-date
• NFCM (SOX) compliant

Desirable Requirements:
• Medium to high education in a technical, economics or scientific degree that contains supply chain management, logistics and/or planning including an APICS CPIM or APICS CSCP certification
• Good command of English written and spoken – Local language written and spoken
• 3-5 years planning experience in an industrial operations environment
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical operations principles and supply chain practices in a GMP environment
• Supply Chain Principles – extensive knowledge and under-standing of Materials Management principles such as (but not limited to) MPS, MRP, CRP, DRP, SFC, purchasing, distribution, import/export, transportation, etc.
• Ideally: knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and industry practices
