Job purpose

The purpose of the Strategic Partner Manager role is to act as a key interface and champion for key BD partners within the Sandoz BD network aligning closely with Novartis and Sandoz interfaces building the commercial relationship and partnership and problem solving as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds strategic relationships and resolve operational issues escalated by SRM or GLM on an exceptional basis
• Accountable for represent BD portfolio needs with the partners pipeline and technology capabilities, coordinating two-way flow of partner/portfolio insights
• Continually refreshes and updates partner development pipeline visibility to BD teams
• To map the partners pipeline against BD allocations and regional wishes to support BD with early partner selection
• To align with GPM and BD on partner capabilities with the target to initiate early developments according to Sandoz portfolio needs
• Accountable to provide status updates and health checks for partner selection and deal review boards
• Holds quarterly reviews for level 1 partners with functional input and participation from alliance team members (Finance, Intellectual Property, Legal, External Supply Organization, NTO Procurement Supply Relations Manager, Launch Management, Business Development, Project Management, Portfolio Management), focused on overall performance, current portfolio and future direction
• Ensure the Sandoz Strategic Partners list is kept up to date and addition or removal of partners on such list is coordinated with ESO and GLM according to the agreed governance model

Mindestanforderungen

The ideal candidate will have

• Academic degree in business or scientific
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite, while knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
• Relevant work experience in Business Development or Business Development Support Function
• Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
• Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations
• Strong customer orientation that results in trust- based partner relationships
• Ability to differentiate the company from competitors
• Strong in collaboration and communication
• Able to work cross functionally and cross divisional
