We are currently hiring a

Rare Diseases Customer Marketing Manager Germany (m/f/d)

to be office based in Nuremberg.

The Rare Disease Customer Marketing Manager for the Cluster of Germany is a key role, part of the Region Europe Marketing Rare Diseases Ilaris® Team.
This person will be responsible for the Ilaris® Brand strategy, the design, adaptation and implementation of all the customer-marketing projects. Will drive key initiatives related to the product aiming at growing the overall business through launch excellence, KOL management and innovative customer centric solutions to improve the patient journey. This person has to demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills and is recognized as an experienced coach /counsellor to his or hers counterparts in the country of responsibility and across Region Europe.

Your major accountabilities:
• Provide ownership and leadership for customer marketing-related activities.
• Implement and execute operational local plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for Rare Disease products
• Support the implementation, coordination and execution of activities led by Rare Disease Advisors and Medical Cluster Managers
• Lead the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deep understand the various patient journeys (for each indication) and develop customized programs/services.
• Identify and understand the roles and responsibilities of key decision-makers in each Treatment Centre and how their key needs differ
• Develop knowledge of competitors through market research, field visits and competitive intelligence
• Lead the preparation of product message and communication strategies
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative digital multichannel services and programs to raise awareness and support holistically the patient journey
• Drives and supports the continuous upgrade of commercial capabilities of the Rare Diseases Advisors
• Closely interacts with Rare Disease Brand Director, other Cluster Customer Marketing Managers and the Rare Disease Cluster Heads to agree on product strategies and M&S initiatives, to align on IPS plans, to share best practices across Europe.
• Frequents relevant interfaces at Regional level to foster development of the business according to Regional needs.
• Functions as a role model for Novartis core values, shapes and contributes to the culture of the Rare Diseases Unit. Supports diversity & inclusion of the Rare Disease team.



• University degree in bioscience, medicine, business, and/or economics, MBA or PhD preferred
• Extensive (> 6) years of sales, marketing and/or medical experience within the pharmaceutical industry
• Successful launch experience in specialty/oncology area
• Strong proven record in excellence in execution
• Be champion of innovation and digital multichannel engagement
• Strong leader to drive change and influence others, without direct report responsibility, across functions (medical, sales, patient access) and countries
• Very good presentation skills
• Good command in German and English
• Willingness for 20 - 30% travel time
