Over The Counter (OTC) Category Head Pain & Anti-Fungal Europe (m/f)

30! The number of countries Sandoz operate in the pain and anti-fungal categories in Region Europe. Key countries being Russia and many central and eastern European countries. This role is waiting for you to support countries driving sales growth.

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accountable for delivering:

• Sales and Gross Margin contribution targets, in line with the Strategic
Planning Time Horizon

Responsible for leading:

• Partnership with Development & Research (D&R)/ Business Development &
Licensing (BD&L) to ensure internal, product development programs deliver
on time and in budget (D&R) and to close any gaps, or improve margin
performance via Licensing in technologies (BD&L)

• Commercial capabilities and expertise for the category, including consumer
and HCP research programs to develop meaningful insights, competitor,
customer and category developments, marketing and merchandising

• Delivery of key marketing support materials and toolkits in collaboration with
Medical, including digital communications. The toolkit will include such
elements as approved advertising claims regarding efficacy, safety,
convenience and value, product packaging artwork which is compelling for
consumers, convenient for customers and consistent with company and legal

• Partnership with multifunctional launch team to ensure that deadlines are met
with appropriate Quality Standards, Supply Availability and launch funding
sufficiency at country Level


• Ensure that the Commercial Strategy of the Category is sufficient in scale,
funding and ambition, selective in the choices we make, segmenting
consumers, channels and customers, being clear in what we will do and what
we will not do and synchronized with other conflicting priorities both within the
OTC Franchise and the greater total Sandoz Portfolio

Commercial Excellence:

• Introduce and bring to life marketing and commercialization tools such as
patient journey, brand health tracking, brand blueprints including medical
guides, activation plans

• Foster media capabilities & efficiency within organization, including digital

What you’ll bring to the role:

The Regional Category Head will improve Sandoz OTC products’ mid- to long-term performance by;

• enhancing growth in both net sales and gross margin, with an accretive return on investment
• collaborating with priority country business teams, the Regional Category Head will build a sustainable and competitive pipeline of products within the category that provide meaningful benefits to consumers
• Collaborating with a multifunctional team to strengthen claims and product positioning, the Regional Category Head will deliver strong commercial campaigns, and toolkits, for our most important brands and new launches

Commercial & General Management


• Consumer/ Healthcare Marketing experience
• Evidence of project management capabilities
• Superior ability to lead and collaborate effectively, to drive performance
across a global, matrixed company
