Novartis Pharma Produktions GmbH is the German site of the international network of Novartis Pharma Production. The site Wehr is located in the beautiful Black Forest with direct connections to Basel (Switzerland). Here around 500 people are into production of solid pharmaceuticals for the world market.

Your responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with Business Partners to understand the business objectives and ensure HR plans, programs and policies are delivered to support achievement of the current goals and future business requirements.
• Ensure alignment with the overall HR mission and strategy.
• Collaborate with other HR Business Partners and peers to develop integrated solutions to HR objectives.
• Support the improvement of leader effectiveness and employee engagement including Recruitment, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Recognition and Reward, etc.
• Utilise the specific HR expertise across the team in the specialist disciplines, Reward & Recognition, Learning & Development, Resourcing and Employee Relations to define strategies to develop our people according to the business needs and individual capabilities.
• Encourage and support the promotion of HR activities (incl. HSE).
• Provide fast and appropriate HR solutions for any needs, setting the priorities according to the function’s strategies and planning.
• Provide change management support as required.
• Develop a positive employee relations environment which optimizes our business effectiveness and minimizes legal risk.
• Develop strong relationships of trust and mutual respect with leadership within the functional groups.
• Ensure best practice and precedents are maintained across site.
• Resolve employee relations issues through a systematic approach, using sound judgment, legal advice (when appropriate) and a solution oriented approach.
• Provide training, coaching, guidance and advice to leaders on all HR issue resolution including performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance management, etc.
• Work closely with leaders team to support the development of their people management skills and to ensure they own and implement decisions regarding their people.
• Ensure knowledge of employment law is in depth and up-to-date and that changes are communicated in policies or processes.
• Deliver constructive, unbiased feedback to staff at all levels

Human Resources


• University Degree and/or commercial degree with additional HR relevant education.
• Fluent in German, English is an advantage
• Extensive experience in proactively understanding business challenges and partnering with Senior Management to develop HR mechanisms to deliver business plans.
• Significant experience within an HR function
• In-depth functional expertise including the application of German employment law (Arbeitsrecht; Betriebsverfassungsrecht, Tarifrecht) within the corporate environment.
• Experience in working with local Works Council and build a trustful relationship with employees representives
• Experience in restructuring projects by executing German labour law
• Able to demonstrate the ability to implement programmes / services within a highly demanding cross-functional environment.
• Evidence of excellent relationship building, networking skills with individuals at all levels.
• Demonstrable communication skills including coaching, training and presenting skills.
• Knowledge of HR best practices and trends and the ability to identify practical solutions.
• The ability to identify new ways of working and implement change.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and other standard applications
