Job purpose

The Head Strategy Operations will report to the Head of Global Biopharmaceutical Strategy & Portfolio Management and will be accountable to meaningfully contribute to a world class integrated Bio Strategy as well as independently lead portfolio management projects for the Bio Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Bio strategy development: as an individual contributor, leverages experience and expertise to meaningfully contribute strategic insights and input to ensure a world class competitive strategy program for Bio
• Bio strategy governance: as a high impact matrix leader, works collaboratively to establish, coordinate and implement effective matrix governance and process management for key Bio strategy deliverables including strategic plan development and delivery of key internal reports (i.e. strategy reviews & strategic plan, market & competitor forecasts) as directed by Global Head Bio Strategy
• Bio portfolio projects: matrix management of processes, projects and initiatives related to Bio pipeline and in line portfolio decision management (BD&L, external alliance management, global drug development, technical operations, finance, marketing teams) as directed by the Global Head Bio Strategy
• Manage BU operational activities: supports global BU operations as required by Global BU Head (e.g. BU Executive Committee, BU leadership meeting, BU objective monitoring, town halls, IR communications)
• Senior management reporting: coordinates and delivers key internal reports for senior executives, as required by Global BU Head (e.g., Sandoz and Novartis Executive Committees, Board of Directors, business reviews)

Mindestanforderungen

The ideal candidate will have

• A business and/or science background and degree
• Fluent English is required and fluency in another International language is beneficial
• Previous relevant experience in a Strategy role
• Work experience and good knowledge of the healthcare industry
• Experience in Consulting or in related fields
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a global, matrix organization
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent analytical ability
