Job purpose:

Contribute on Sandoz Global Portfolio strategy that enables to reach more than 500 million patients worldwide.
Lead the business strategy and vision for the Global Portfolio function. Ensure the end to end robustness of the portfolio performance with the aim of maximizing economic value and securing future competitive advantage of the division.

Your Responsibilities:

• Drive Global Portfolio Vision and Business Strategy
• Define strategy and vision for Global Portfolio ensuring alignment of the global, regional and local strategies
• Oversee Global Portfolio strategic and operational KPIs
• Facilitate customer centric design thinking amongst Global Portfolio Leadership team and key stakeholders
• Define efficient procedure and respective system requirements to ensure pipeline transparency
• Maintain Global Portfolio transparency in cooperation with Global Portfolio leadership, BD&L and Product Development
• Ensure portfolio systems are used by the team to ensure accuracy of the data.
• Design robust forecasting process and system requirements
• Implement new forecasting procedures in close alignment with key stakeholders
• Develop and implement e2e steering mechanisms to support full Portfolio accountability for projects according to project strategy
• Define data and system requirements to enable use of AI (and other digital tools) to increase efficiency

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Increase of pipeline transparency and underlying data reliability
• Successful management of portfolio reviews
• Clear Sandoz portfolio strategy able to be articulated and understood by all major markets
• Positive stakeholder feedback for design and implementation of new processes
• Forecasts for pipeline
• Applicability of systems supporting processes
• Positive development of team



Desirable Requirements:

• Master’s or higher degree in Science, PhD/ MBA preferred
• Proficiency in English, language skills in German desirable
• 5-8 years of practical experience in areas of strategy, planning, project management or marketing
• Significant portfolio management experience
• Extensive project and program management experience in strategic projects
• Experience/knowledge in Pharma, Generics or Consumer Health industry
• R&D Know-how is a plus
• Capability to lead without formal authority
• Excellent analytical skills linked with conceptual thinking capabilities
• Strong strategic visioning abilities, and the ability to see the bigger picture
• Willing to challenge the standard thinking with new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions
• Problem-solving, solution-oriented and well organized personality
• Ability to reduce complexity into strategy decision recommendations
• Excellent communication skills
• A good relationship builder and a strong team player
• Desire to work in an international environment.
