Job purpose:

To ensure high quality products reach the market, preserve compliance, and achieve successful health authority inspections. Drive standardization of processes and IT systems to enhance effectiveness and productivity.

This is achieved within the framework of regulatory compliance and operating within established high standards of Quality, GMP, Heath, Safety, and Environmental Protection.

Your responsibilities:

• Develops and implements quality-wide and site specific strategies based on the overall NTO Quality and Biotechnology objectives
• Responsible that drug substance is manufactured in compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations
• Ensures a fit-for-purpose quality organization
• Drives a talent agenda: Leads people processes through recruitment, training, coaching and performance to meet all operation requirements sustaining both global and local competitiveness and diversity. Supports a stable succession plan for Quality
• Builds organizational culture in line with Novartis values and behavior
• Responsible for overall relationships with regulatory and health authority bodies
• Ensures that all aspects of technical operations within the assigned facilities functions are in compliance with Novartis policies and standards in the area of regulatory compliance, GMP, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection
• Maintains quality on the basis of actual data of Quality Assurance
• Executes all assigned activities in accordance with applicable GMP-,
labor-, workplace-, environment- and safety instructions and –regulations
• Excellent documentation of activities in accordance with GMP regulations
• Qualified Person (according to Medicinal Products Act – AMG §15)



Mindestanforderungen

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum Master Degree (preferably PhD) in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in different quality functions (QA Operations, Quality Control) in pharmaceutical industry
• German and English fluent in speech and writing
• Experience working in a multi-national, multi-cultural corporation
• Experience in Quality Management within pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of business planning & finance
• Strong leadership skills with at least 10+ years of experience in business leadership
• Exceptional personal skills including social competency, strong cross-functional communication and people skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to present to various audiences
• Flexible and able to work in a dynamic work environment
