The Global Sandoz Account Manager is accountable for raising awareness of the Novartis Business Services (NBS) Product Lifecycle Services (PLS) department within Sandoz International and for progressing PLS services adoption. She/he is responsible for the stakeholders’ alignment and change management necessary to implement PLS service provision, in accordance with the overall PLS strategy. He/she will leverage PLS capabilities and service catalogue to deliver the integrated support solutions required by the customers, identify and prioritize customization needs if any, and phase the transition of activities (from internal teams and external vendors to PLS offshore delivery centers) to guarantee the successful integration of the services provided. After go-live, she/he will oversee the effective provision of PLS services to Sandoz. The Global Sandoz Account Manager will be accountable for top-to-top business partnering and account leadership of the major stakeholder groups in Sandoz Global. This includes Global Sandoz, Biosimilar and Region Europe.

Your responsibilities:

• Represent the views of Sandoz in terms of global priorities, objectives, and requirements, and guide the alignment of the PLS service offering with business needs in collaboration with PLS Service Practices and Service Development.
• Provide thought leadership in defining the overall strategy for PLS services, ensuring strong focus on customer needs from a quality and cost perspective, as well as encouraging business-relevant innovation in the support areas in scope.
• Define and implement the regional PLS strategy, driving the adoption of PLS services across all Division/BUs in the Region; develop together with PLS Service Development and Finance business cases for delivery of efficient service solutions, balancing risks & benefits, proposing optimal implementation approach.
• Collaborates with Global Service Leads (GSL) and Global Process Owners (GPO) in developing proposals for effective provision of future service solutions.
• Aligns with relevant divisional/BU functions and external vendors on service offerings (“who does what”) and the establishment and management of points of contact.
• Perform effective leadership and transformational management, demonstrating high skills in change management, persevering to overcome issues, identifying and mitigating risks, and building trust with stakeholders.
• Partner with the Division/BUs in Sandoz to help them access strong centralized offshore capabilities and achieve lean cost structures through the provision of PLS services, decommissioning legacy operations and (local) external vendors, enabling Sandoz to realize their business objectives and productivity targets.
• Manage key interfaces at global and regional/country levels as well as with external vendors / service providers. Ensure user-experience and customer-perceived value are key criteria for assessing operational performance and for the design of PLS services.
• Own all aspects of governance, implementation planning, forecasting, budgeting, phasing, resourcing, load-management, communication, and change tracking for assigned initiatives.
• Establish and manage the SLAs and associated charges for PLS services.
• Define and track performance KPIs, contributing to overall financial and business success, driving and sustaining efficiency gains.



What you’ll bring to the role:

• University degree in bioscience, medicine, business, and/or economics.
• Excellent English both spoken and written, other languages desirable.
• Excellent understanding of processes in business services at multi-national organizations.
• Track record of successfully managing large projects, delivering positive performance results and cost savings.
• Proven record of leading diverse teams; substantial (5-8 years) line management experience with large international team responsibility and remote relationships is a must; ability to balance resource demands from multiple internal customers.
• Substantial (8+) experience in driving high impact process improvement initiatives across large scale global/regional organizations.
• Experience in identification and management of diverse stakeholders, with high influencing and business development skills.
• Excellent quantitative & analytical abilities as well as written & oral communication skills.
• The role requires transformational leadership skills.
