Your responsibilities:

• Lead the team to proactively manage all IP-related aspects of the allocated global trademark, design and domain name portfolios as well as copyright topics
• Drive the development, optimization and implementation of strategies, policies and guidelines
• Leverage Sandoz TM as a valued and impactful partner to customers
• Prepare and lead TM litigation to successful conclusions and oversee litigation budget
as well as select/control of relationship with external counsels including monitoring of their quality and performance
• Advance state-of-the-art, transparent, budget management with customers
• Lead Sandoz TM in a motivating manner that attracts, develops and retains talented professionals, maximizes synergies and promotes team spirit
• Support partners on divestments, BD&Ls as well as M&As and negotiate draft as well as review agreements regarding TM or related IP matters
• Representation of Sandoz TM policy and practice issues
• Actively participate in/provide leadership at cross-divisional TM Leadership Team

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Application of best practice standards and tools to ensure availability of trademarks, designs and domain names, timely and efficiently
• Customer satisfaction; successful management of risks and opportunities
• Ensuring Sandoz TM is recognized as a center of competence in the management of global trademark portfolios
• Adding value by being a strategic and respected partner to all relevant interfaces
• Maximize efficiency and synergies within Sandoz
• Awareness of, and influence on, developing trends; proactive advice to the business



Legal & Intellectual Property & Compliance


Mindestanforderungen

Desirable Requirements:

• University Degree or equivalent; internationally recognized Trademark qualifications
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken), proficiency in another language desirable
• Proven 7-10+ years of experience in global TM environment (including litigation experience)
• Substantive leadership experience in management of complex TM/IP tasks/teams
• IP experience in Pharma/Healthcare environment is a plus
• Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight timelines in a fast paced environment
