• Leading the Early Product team which works on the medical strategy for new biosimilar medicines and for the company’s portfolio across various specialty areas
• This role represents Global Medical Affairs directly as team member on Global Project Team(s) providing clinical expertise as subject matter expert and medical strategic input
• Planning, development and implementation of high level Medical Affairs strategy in order to maximize the future impact of selected molecules
• Initiate the outreach activities to build scientific collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders and conduct Global Advisory Board(s), in the therapeutic area relevant for the selected compound
• Solicit and integrate strategic inputs from Key Opinion Leaders, reviewing available data on medical practice for the selected therapeutic areas
• Medical Affairs expert who assess the medical opportunities for molecules in early development
• Support feasibility assessment of early programs to prepare for Program Approval
• Support of interactions with regulatory agencies
• Provide medical recommendations related to target product profile, clinical plan, drug product manufacturing and supply chain decisions
• Work collaboratively with Business Development & Licensing and New Products Marketing & Portfolio Strategy on strategic projects

Research & Development


• Medical degree (MD)
• 8-10 year’s experience in Medical Affairs including clinical study management and industrial experience, preferably in Oncology/Haematology or Immunology or indications with biological treatment options
• MBA qualification or significant years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable
• Leadership experience in leading international teams,
• Experience in leading teams/work in international matrix
• Demonstrated ability to quickly gathering high-level understanding of complex technical, medical and scientific issues in international environment for at least 4 years
• Strong personality with ability to work in a global environment and global project teams in a matrix structure
• Experience in planning and implementation of medical events (e.g. Advisory Boards, symposia)
• Good understanding of compliance standards in Europe and US
• Fluent English (oral and written), strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills, sound project management and alliance management expertise
• Experience in matrix and/or direct people management role with demonstrated ability to influence without authority successfully
